Bareboat charters typically require that you have the necessary boating experience and certifications to operate the boat safely. But, many rental companies also offer skippered charters, where a captain is provided to navigate the boat and ensure your safety.

Boat rental and bareboat charter companies in Greece typically offer a wide range of boats to choose from, and they usually have many attractive offers and packages to choose from, such as special rates for weekly rentals, seasonal discounts, and early booking bonuses.

With a boat rental or bareboat charter, you have the freedom to explore the Greek islands on your own schedule, and you can tailor your itinerary to your specific interests and preferences. It’s a perfect way to experience the famous Greek hospitality and culture, and make unforgettable memories in the beautiful Greek islands.

Before renting a Βoat, there are a few things to consider and pay attention to:

  1. Experience: Make sure that you or someone in your group has the necessary sailing experience to operate the boat safely. If you’re new to sailing, you may want to consider taking a sailing course before renting a boat.
  2. Certification: Check if the rental company requires any specific certifications, such as a sailing license, to rent the boat.
  3. Insurance: Make sure to check the rental agreement for insurance options and coverage, such as liability and damage coverage, and if they are included or have to be purchased separately.
  4. Equipment: Make sure that the boat is equipped with all the necessary safety equipment, such as life jackets and flares, and that it is in good condition.
  5. Crew: If you’re planning to rent a crewed yacht, make sure you are comfortable with the crew and the services they offer.
  6. Weather: Check the weather forecast and sea conditions before setting off to ensure that they are safe for sailing.
  7. Plan your route: Plan your route and make sure that you have a good idea of where you’re going and what you’ll see. Also, make sure you know how to read a nautical chart and use navigation instruments.
  8. Familiarize yourself with the boat: Before setting off, take some time to familiarize yourself with the boat’s layout, systems, and controls.
  9. Fuel: Make sure you know how much fuel the Boat holds and how far you can travel on a full tank. Also, check if the rental company provides fuel or if you need to purchase it separately.
  10. Check the boat’s condition: Make sure the boat is in good condition before you set off, and if you find any damage or defects, notify the rental company immediately.
  11. Return time: Make sure you know what time you need to return the boat, and plan your route and activities accordingly.

By paying attention to these things before renting a sailboat, you can ensure a safe and enjoyable sailing experience.

It’s also worth to check what is included in the rental, such as fuel, bedding, and linens, catering, and if there are any additional costs or fees associated with the rental.

A sailing boat, also known as a sailboat, is a type of watercraft that is propelled by the wind, using one or more sails. Sailboats come in many different sizes and designs, and can be used for a variety of activities such as racing, cruising, or just sailing for pleasure. RIB

A rib boat, also known as a rigid inflatable boat, is a type of inflatable boat that features a rigid, inflatable tube-like structure on the sides. Some popular types of speed boats include bowriders, runabouts, and jet boats.

Jet Ski

A jet ski is a type of personal watercraft (PWC) that is powered by a jet propulsion system. Jet skis are designed for one or more people to sit or stand on, and are typically operated in a standing or sitting position. They are known for their speed and maneuverability, and are often used for recreational activities such as water skiing, wakeboarding, and jumping waves. Jet skis typically have a maximum speed of around 60-70 mph and are powered by a small, compact jet propulsion system that draws water into the craft through an intake and pushes it out through a nozzle, providing thrust to move the craft forward. They are also known as wave runners or sea-doo.
